I got a good deal on the price and the build quality is excellent. Have recommended to my friends and family. We recently built a granny flat with DB-Homes and had a fantastic experience! They offered quality inclusions in comparison to competitors and were quick to responses. Alex and Rick were informative and very helpful during the sales process to build our custom granny flat. Jason Taouk (Project Manager) was taking lead throughout the build and kept us informed along the way. He always made time available to us to review the granny flat when it suited our schedule and was quick to address any areas of concern. As with any build there are always going to be minor defects, however these were addressed promptly and nothing major to prevent us from moving in. Overall, initial contract sign in May and was completed by late November. Thanks team! Promised a 3 month build. 1 year and 1 month ongoing. They will say anything to get you to part with your money but not provide the work that they promised.
They didn’t take out builders insurance on the build. Their workers wouldn’t know quality work if it hit them in the face. There’s dents in the wall where a worker has broken the gyprock and they just keep brushing it off instead of fixing it properly. The bathroom window doesn’t close properly but they claim is “normal”. The person who installed the doors, installed them upside down.
They take floor plans and electricity plans as suggestions.
They don’t pay their trade workers, so if you’re a trade don’t even consider working with them unless you like working for free.
