Terrible hostel. Nobody at the reception. Digital key to enter in the hostel and bedroom, no safe at all. Bathroom filthy, awful. Kitchen closes at 10 pm and there isn’t other water in the hostel so if you need water after that time you have to drink the water in the bathroom. I found water near my bed in the floor. AC works for only about 30 minutes and then it stops automatically. I don’t reccomend this hostel to anyone.
Only stayed one night. Good locking system, clean, very very rundown. Would not recommend the bottom floor, it is so noisy! The kitchen was open at all hours! People banging and cooking past midnight.
Small rooms, shared rooms males and females in the same rooms. No privacy for anyone. Kitchen is small, fridges are awful. Washing machines and dryers near the food. Cleaners going through personal belongings. Toilets and showers together very unhygienic. Wouldn’t recommend staying here again. They discriminate against Australians to stay here, only allow international students and travellers to stay here. Rooms are messy

Great location, right on the promenade. Plenty of seating out the front for people watching. Food was cheap and delicious… drinks were strong! The accommodation was amazing, great beds and welcoming staff throughout the whole place. Booked again for next week
I attended the Bondi Hotel on the Wednesday night for a pub meal. As a tourist and first time visitor to Bondi, I was recommended this place for a meal. The Security asked for my vaccination certificate and for me to sign into the place, as requested by signage and asked in a very friendly way. I did this and proceeded to head inside to the bar for a meal and a couple of beers. I get inside and I was greeted by a worker by the name of Skye (unsure on the spelling). She was a really friendly and helpful person along with her co-workers. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for a good meal and drink in a nice atmosphere with kind staff.
Went there with my friends last night for drinks and dance. This place always had its downsides but after yesterday I’m definitely NOT coming back again! Caught a guy who was cleaning glasses from people’s table trying to take mine and my friend’s purse while we were dancing!! When I went up to him he started to yelling at me and kicking chairs. So watch out for you stuff guys, they think you’re drunk so you won’t notice.

I payed for a room I was showed and apon arrival the room had been given away, we then changed rooms the next day hoping to get the room I wanted but no…. and then got put into the smallest room they have available, nothing like what I payed for, very disappointed
Real community feel here. My favorite hostel in Australia. The building is old and run down, but the rooms are big and the view from the roof can’t be beat
Great staff, always helpful with any problems and the cleaning team are soooo awesome! Nice location about 2 mins from one of the best beaches and the coastal walk

I had the best experience staying here.
The staff who checked us in Tiffany was phenomenal.
The rooms were clean and spacious.
The night manager, too, I think his name was Hamish or Hamilton, was very friendly.
I would highly recommend it.
I loved it, so did my family.
Had to wait 3 hours for room at 3pm they decided to inspect the unit.
The unit had a smell that could only be described as a meal gone wrong.
Out door furniture has red back spiders on it.
The air on did not work in bed room
Not sure what sort of inspection was carried out no soap.
Literally the worst Meriton ever! The service in Bondi Junction was very disappointing. We came in and the room was not ready. We had to wait for 1.5 hours. When we asked when our room will be ready the male receptionist said the cleaners havent started cleaning our room yet. For the amount of money we paid, we expect at least for our room to be prioritized to be cleaned – that just shows courtesy and good customer service etiquette and other hotels did the same as well.
Then they decided to over-charge money from our bond for late check-out fee of $150 when they did not inform us in the first place and it wasn’t in the terms and conditions in the booking website or in any of the papers the reception gave us. Also when they took $450 off the bond, they did not break it down specifically what the money was for, so it’s hard not to think that they just named a random amount without justification
This was very disappointing and can the manager please speak up? I’m sure Meriton is a great company and they should keep their good reputation. But this absolutely stains their name and leaves their customers absolutely unsatisfied.

Thank you!
Good burger joint, I was very satisfied with my order 🙂 I got a beef burger and the patty was yummy and thick, the bread and sauce very nice, I do recommend it!
Friendly and helpful staff as well 🙂
I had some of the usual ingredients (tomatoes, pickles) removed (cause I don’t like it) and they let me add something else instead at no extra cost so I’m grateful for that, cause many places don’t do it

We had a booking but cancelled when we got there because the front desk staff do not know how to be hospitable. Ironic isn’t it? Since they work in the hospitality industry. They spoke to my husband like he was empty space. Then looked at me as though I shouldn’t waste my time living. You know the type – like those young shop assistants who look straight through you if you are older than 22 and don’t fit a size 8 skinny jean. This misdirected bunch of ineffectual hospitality workers are a blight on Australian tourism – but why? I am glad you asked – we did not have a credit card. We lost it somewhere that day on our way to Sydney. The reason for the credit card is to guard against damage and fraud. We did not have a credit card but we had a prepaid booking. Hmmmm, ok. Can we rest after our long journey do you think? No. They needed a credit card so they could place $1 against our account as, yes, you guessed it, damages. Right? Well, I think maybe wrong because when we offered them a dollar cash (which, if you remember, was all they were going to take from our credit card) they said they needed more money than that. More than $1? Ok. How much? Boy, greedy their little eyes lit up, as if to say “much more”. We said, but that is all you said would be charged to my husbands credit card and so on until the manager, Mr No Plan B, found his little ineffectual self in the spotlight with no other option in his tiny pee brain and no where to hide. You get me? My next question is, how much is enough (in cash, mind you) if not $1? We didn’t stay. Would you? We are not the sum total of two nights stay at a Bondi hotel. We are people with feelings who stand up for our moral values just like everyone else. While, the small matter of two prepaid nights is not our problem (because my husband is in Sydney on business). We care. I bet you, when the people who did prepay for our room hear what happened there will be some deep discussion. If they were to ask me, I would suggest there is a section somewhere in a Commonwealth Act that might do a lot of the talking for them. Don’t get me wrong, I really appreciate kindness, hospitality, feeling welcome and valued. What I don’t appreciate is what I experienced today and I will not stand idly by while people I care about are treated badly. Not on my watch. 15 February 2022.
Poor service from the desk!
Bit rude and immature customer service. We have to leave and check in to the next motel eventhough it was being paid for.NOT GOOD!
Love this place! I think you experience the best of Sydney staying here, the vibe around Bondi Beach is really fun and feels far more authentic and local than staying in a city hotel. The apartment is spacious and comfortable and I love having a washing machine and dryer as well as the extra living area. Heaps to do in local area, from the stunning cliff top walk to Bronte, dinner at Icebergs, lunches in cool cafes and the amazing food at the local weekend market.

I’m after a m14 washer, the guy at the help desk give me a m12. Wasted of time and money.
I generally don’t post reviews about retail stores – but this is a massive exception. On 07/12/2021, I bought an iPhone 13 Pro from probably one of the most professional yet chill worker, Jed. You definitely reminded me of me back in the days when I used to work in retail – we need more of us in the industry – you were super kind and patient! I just want to say thanks again mate and hopefully head office notices this! I hope good karma comes your way. To the rest of the staff at Bondi, thank you for being patient and understanding (even after you officially closed)!
Hopefully, the holiday season is easy on you all and stay safe!

Hands down one of the worst places we’ve ever stayed at, but at $100 a night with parking included, the value is hard to beat
No ammeneties provided, the shower doors don’t close, the hot water cycles from boiling to cold every minute or so, the air conditioners are loud and occasionally dump water on your doorstep, you can hear everything from nearby apartments, and there are crickets everywhere outside and in the pool
But the beds are comfy, it’s super close to the beach, it felt private and safe inside, the rooms are large for a studio, parking is right outside the apartment, no bed bugs or insects inside, the linen is fresh and the staff are friendly
So definitely not roughing it, and we’d probably stay here again to reduce costs, but definitely not somewhere I’d stay if you plan to do more than sleep and shower here
Rooms were perfect for our needs, spotless and super handy to include kitchenette. The hosts were really welcoming and helpful. The location was awesome and just a short walk from the main strip. I had a delightful stay there & will be back again. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Honestly I’m a bit surprised to see the bad reviews on here. Beach Road Hotel has been a favourite of ours for years! Great atmosphere, skillful staff and the security are extremely friendly every time. I think they are definitely strict with their RSA (refusing people in) which I think is totally understandable to keep everyone else safe. If you’re thinking of coming here but are thrown off by some of these reviews, please go and see it your self. Love this place!
It’s fine for a beer and a dance but the new menu looks and tastes no good. Cheeseburger with house bbq sauce and soggy wilted salad at the bottom of the burger…no idea. Anyway yea get a beer and some chips maybe.
If you like lining up for every drink and hanging with 20 somethings…

Excellent location and very pretty decorated. Nice deck to sit out on. Comfortable bed and pillows.
Beautifully designed, calm hotel just seconds from Bondi Beach. The team facilitated a contact-free check in, and were discretely available if the need arose (it didn’t!) My elegant room was peaceful and well appointed, with a separate kitchen area with coffee and tea making facilities, hand-made crockery and glassware – and included a simple, delicious breakfast (extra ticks for supplying a plant based milk for me!) The bed was comfy, large and invitingly made up with cool, antique inspired linens in muted tones. There were twin seating areas which could be made up into single beds if children were in the picture. The bathroom included toiletries from local brand Leif. I fell in love with the lavender-scented terrace and could have spent hours there reading and soaking up the spring sunshine, oblivious to the weekend hum of a busy Bondi Beach. The perfect spot for a local staycation.
Very close to everything. Lucy was very accommodating. Bed was super comfy. Very nice and would return
