Such a forgotten treasure in Sydney.
Go during school time and enjoy a relaxing walk through this beautiful jungle of gorgeous creatures and extraordinary wildlife. Head down around 10am and there are shows every half hour from dingo’s to koalas. Stop for lunch and then head to the farmyard and reptile show before feeding some goats and heading home. Amy is a wonderful knowledgeable presenter who is so patient with the endless questions from kids. Got bitten by some bugs so wear appropriate clothing but otherwise a great time.

Small but very friendly local zoo. Great opportunity to touch farm animals. Kangaroo patting zone and goats as well can be touched and always hungry.
The park needs big refresh. But owners keep all clean.
Nice cafeteria with coffee and good options for lunch.
My kids like it and I we will come back in a couple of years.

Great place to take the kids and pat some animals like long hair guinea pigs and rabbits along with small reptiles like bearded dragons and blue tongue lizards. Feed lambs, kangaroos, wallabies and even goats. Brendan was fantastic and very knowledge. He even helped us get one rogue goat get back into the main pen.

Lovely bush trails for a range of ages and abilities. Lots of bird life, including bellbirds at the top of the hill near Castle Hill Road. Toilets are usually quite clean, and the addition of more near Swains Picnic Area / Treetops Climbing is a very convenient bonus. Cafe and nursery on site if they are of interest to you, and several picnic areas.

Being a local I often frequent this wonderful forest while talking afternoon walks. Honestly the quality of the forest trails are truly excellent and I would highly recommend visiting this oasis of nature within suburban Sydney. I have been coming here since I was 4 and 20 years later it never ceases to amaze me.

Great place for a short dog walk or a longer experience on the Great North Walk via the Binowee Trail. Have done a bit of both. This fire Trail is easy, with more challenges on the Binowee.

Lovely walking path through the bush with interesting scenery and historical information to read. Seems to be mostly concreted, at least from the Bellamy St end to the Zig Zag Bridge. Up to this point would be doable with a stroller and easy for kids and those unsteady on their feet. This component would likely also be wheelchair accessible, though over the bridge looks quite steep. There was one picnic table I saw, hidden in the bush close to the track, though there is a big step to get into it. A fair few parking spots at the Bellamy St end. Decent direction signage along the path, and access to other parts of the walk which are interesting (running water streams and ponds) but much less accessible.
