Joe was appointed to repair a front wall and steps damaged by tree roots from the pavement. The costs were to be paid for by me and then reimbursed by the council- as such he had to liaise with the council and keep within their strict guidelines regarding protecting the tree itself.
I couldn’t have asked for a better builder than Joe – he advised them on the best course of action and in turn complied with all their requirements which in itself was a delicate operation.
I am thrilled that my wall and steps now looks brand new and what’s more because of his diplomacy skills in dealing with the council I have now received a full refund on all expenses incurred by me.
I would have no hesitation in recommending him as a builder- he knows his work and has an honest and open manner.

I can not recommend Joe from Bondi Builda more highly! He is the consummate professional and we could not be happier with our renovation!
Our renovation involved a full gutting of our apartment, removal of a structural wall, movement of plumbing and piping, new floors, electrical works, plastering, painting and more.
Joe accurately priced our job outlining any possible variations and their cost. The job was completed quickly, efficiently and on time. He was fantastic at communicating with us throughout the project so that we always had a clear picture of where our renovation was at!

Tim at Heilbronn Building managed our renovation late 2020/early 2021. He was super easy to work with and always willing to work with us to find solutions that were within our budget, even for some quite bespoke requests.
We didn’t have an architect on our job, but felt very much in safe hands with Tim, who has a good eye for detail and design.
We lived at home during the renovation with our three little kids, and I worked from home too – Tim was really tidy and respectful of our family.
We are really pleased with the result and would 100% recommend Heilbronn Building.

Tim was very helpful when we were doing our renovation. Started when we were thinking of selling our house. We had to go overseas and he was willing to inspect the place identified the works before we even met n liaised with our agent to get access.
He was creative in solving issues of our property. In the end the result was fantastic n we achieved a great price for our property.

Sean and his team completed some structural and remedial work to the ground floor of our terrace house in Paddington. Sean is an extremely honest and trustworthy builder. A great problem solver, with a calm demeanour and a can-do attitude.
As with all old terraces, we started building not knowing what lay in store for us under the surface. Sean worked collaboratively with us to solve problems as they arose, producing a great high quality result. We would not hesitate to recommend Hancock Homes to anyone looking for a builder.

Sean and his team worked with us on a renovation project that took nearly 6 months and involved a complete gut and refit for a two bedroom apartment. Our apartment is in a1968 building in a high people traffic/weather affected location and it was a tricky build.
We evaluated over 5 builders before selecting Hancock Homes and overall we were really pleased with the results. As in every renovation there were many twists and turns and what we loved was Sean ‘s commitment to ensuring that we achieved the results we wanted, and his ability to problem solve and ‘own’ the build and the actions of his sub-contractors. He is a considerate, responsive, generous, professional, approachable, friendly business partner in this project and the results are remarkable. We feel very lucky to have found the right company and company owner to have completed our build for us. We would certainly recommend Hancock Homes to others.

If you value your relationship with your neighbours, do not use this company. As the neighbour of one of their projects, I’ve been in an ongoing battle with them over playing loud music when they know that people are working from home because of COVID. They will turn it down when asked but then it goes up again mere hours later. It’s like dealing with a bunch of petulant teenagers.

Very happy with the garage studio/loft built by Irvine’s in our terrace in Queens Park. Their attention to quality and detail was first-rate and there was no problem that Peter Irvine, as head builder/foreman, could not solve. Their staff and tradespeople were easy to work with. We had issues with one neighbour and access and Peter showed great patience and flexibility as we worked through that. I was particularly impressed that Peter took the time to knock up a mini scaffolding platform for me to paint a tricky area in the stairwell, which I can keep and use in future as needed. The contract and variations were managed professionally and transparently. A great family-owned building firm.

I don’t think i’ve ever heard of a good building experience, but I’m pleased to say I’ve had one. We recently completed an 8 month renovation on a home in Clovelly NSW. (our 3rd reno). Irvine’s Building were one of three builders we were considering. From the start our dealing with Mark Irvine the principal, was relaxed yet informative and re assuring. In addition Sacha (who is Mark’s niece) who works at the pointy end of the business (finance) was an ease and most reassuring the whole way through the build. We had complete transparency with every cost and were never in the dark to where we stood financially from start to finish. The build threw a few hair raising curveballs at us (including building through covid-19) but those problems were structural issues and beyond the control of Irvine’s. Our head foreman Jamie was onsite every single day. He renovated our home like it was his. His attention to detail and ability to see “straight through” dubious sub contractors/suppliers was appreciated in itself. On a personal note Jamie became part of our family. Building is a very personal experience, you are generally dealing with your principal asset and you bestow a lot of trust and effort into the building team. Jamie didn’t let us down and nor did Rodney his offsider, and our children still asked after them 3 months down the track. So…….
Would I use Irvine’s Building again…yes.
Would I recommend Irvine’s Building to others…absolutely.
Would I use Irvine’s for my next job…unequivocally.

Being a Kitchen renovation business we often get asked for referrals for a builder when other building work is required.
We have worked closely with Lifestyle Building & Maintenance on a number of jobs and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to our clients.
They have a very transparent way of providing pricing and subsequent invoicing which is easy to track from a clients point of view when working with budgets
One of the most important aspects of dealing with a fabulous builder is the relationship that forms with the client when dealing with decisions that need to be made and helpful advice.
From a joinery perspective, knowing you are dealing with builders that take the time to get it right makes the collaboration between client, builder and kitchen company a hassle free process to ensure a fabulous outcome.

When looking for a builder for our renovation project, just “getting the job done” wasn’t our only yardstick.
We knew the job would be in progress for quite some time, so we needed to be sure that whoever we enlisted, we were happy to have them in our home and around our family for an extended period of time.
The team at lifestyle were exactly that. They were all polite and friendly, we felt very comfortable with them around.
With regards to professionalism, we were given an information pack before commencing that laid out all of their processes and costings. This made the whole process very honest and transparent. The guys were using the latest software to track the job and were sending us weekly updates so we always knew exactly where we were upto. I’d heard stories of the disturbance to the home life during renovations and been warned on what to expect from trades inside the home, but I’d needn’t have worried. The guys left the place as clean as could be expected and I actually started to enjoy coming home to see what improvements had been done that day.
Having worked with other Builder’s in the past, these guys are the opposite of the negative cliché’ of builders and tradesman. They’re always on time, return calls and communicate well, are positive and solutions orientated. They obviously have the same standards with regards to courtesy and politeness for the contractors and trades associated with them, as all of the guys onsite seemed to be like minded. There was a nice energy to the site. They said they’ve worked long and hard to surround themselves with quality people and it shows.
If ever we had a question the guys would talk us through the options without any jargon or sales pitches, just a clear indication of “option a and option b” and the pros and cons of both.
We had the feeling they were performing the work and keeping their eye as closely on the budget as if it was their own home. We’re very grateful for the work the guys have done and the positive memories we have of the experience.
I’ve already referred these guys onto friends and family and will continue to do so anytime I’m asked for the details of a reputable builder.
It’s been a pleasure, see you next time for stage 2 guys! Can’t wait!!
