Nathan and his team did an excellent job on both our bathrooms. Communication was excellent and we were kept up to date every step of the way. Not only was the workmanship excellent, but they kept the place clean during the renovation and a thorough clean when work was complete. Would highly recommend Ecobuild to anyone considering a renovation

We had Nathan and his team renovate our bathroom and couldn’t be happier with the results. The team have great attention to detail and Nathan was a huge help when unexpected hiccups arose. The job was done in a timely manner, within budget and Nathan kept us in the loop sending through regular photos and updates. Would highly recommend their service!

Don’t be lured into a building contract by their “everything is possible” front office salesman.

We thought we can build our dream house with windows to embrace the pool and water view at the rear of our house. At their display homes at Helensvale with gigantic ceiling height windows, we worked with their salesperson over several weeks to finalise the largest windows after several design drafts from head office. We have stated to the salesperson that not having these windows are deal breakers for us (even though they are only 1.2m height which are comparatively small compared to the 2.4m height windows at their display home). We were assured by the salesperson that once they are finalised in the contract, they should not change and if additional cost are required to build the house, the company will have to cover the additional cost because it should have been considered at the precontract phase.

Everything changed after signing the contract. Communication was painfully slow at the head office with gross lack of attention to details, including several variations that were discussed at the point of signing of the contract not being updated in the final working drawings 3 months thereafter.

The most infuriating issue is the very size of the 4 windows and 1 sliding doors were reduced by at least 20% of the size, with a sliding door losing almost a metre in length. They snakily made the changes in the drawings, without informing us or offer a credit for the reduced size (they did- only very eventually offering this when we showed our disapproval). We were utterly upset when we noticed the changes. When we queried about it, we were only given the reason as being “bracing issues”, “ building code” and “engineering requirements”, to brush us off, and if not, you will compromise on the structure of the house. That’s rude and they almost didn’t have the intention to credit us for these changes stating that extra material would be required to fill in the space where our big window should be in?? Yet they could happily charge us for these sized windows at contract?! Also if it is bracing issues, why are the window sizes not increased instead so that the windows brace more steadily to the main pillars and beams? We sent them an unhappy email and they claimed to have a meeting with the GM. We thought there was hope. Alas, this meeting resulted in even more issues- they have now decided that my splashback window in the kitchen needs to be reduced further as well!!!

We were misled to committing to the building contract after being shown our dream home in the drawing, only for this company to take it away again. This house that they have drawn for us is no longer our house we had in mind. It is their house. Now, we need to seek QBCC assistance.

We have lost confidence in this builder before we even started the council approval application.

Definitely not a dream home builder.

Four years ago we built with McCarthy homes, recently a small problem came up, the maintenance staff dealt with the problem without question, with efficiency and care. We love our home and would highly recommend this builder. They have been most professional in all aspects from the design stage to the build and now to the after care.

Construct-Right are builders who really care about the outcomes of their work. There was nothing too difficult and the ideas and suggestions made on my renovations were just incredible. I cannot praise Construct-Right lead by Milan Acimovic enough. If you want a professional quality job then just give them a call .

It sure makes a difference dealing with experienced people when it involves your own home. I’ve been burnt before because of incompetent operators but United B&RB were excellent. No ambiguous excuses, delay tactics or BS.

Having dealt with the principal previously on the full construction of my home, I still got the same attention and service for a much smaller renovation. They really wanted my business and put in the required effort and gave me unbelievable service to get it.

I highly recommend this company. They are several notches above others I have dealt with.

We also have a fantastic experience with Sunstate Homes. We had built previously with another larger builder and were very happy with what he did for us. So when Sunstate Homes was introduced by one of our family members it was a difficult decision which builder to use. But we thought we give them a try and see how they compare with our previous builder.

Right from outset we felt very comfortable. The help to get our plan designed to our liking and budget was incredible. All without any pressure to pay deposits or make any commitments. We were happy to continue with Sunstate.

Our house was built without any problems and with full communication from the owner of the company. He was always available for a chat or to meet on site. The staff and tradesmen are also a delight to work with. Everyone was very helpful.

We moved in last months and are very please with the result. Proud to have a beautiful home. Just the landscaping to finish off now. We are extremely happy and glad that we decided to build with this builder. Highly recommended and more than happy to give further information if requested by anyone.

We recently built a new home with Sunstate Homes in Red Hill. Our new home is beautiful and the construction process was enjoyable for us. Amir is so knowledgeable and approachable, and his team are very good at what they do. We had a budget that we needed to keep within, and the Sunstate Homes team were able to come up with a design which ticked all our boxes and worked within our budget. Amazing. Would recommend Sunstate Homes to anyone looking to build in Brisbane

Sunstate Homes did an excellent job building our home in Kenmore. Our house was ready 2.5 weeks ahead of schedule and to a very high standard. My husband and I spend a tremendous amount of time researching established builders in the area. Overall we felt that Sunstate Homes came up tops in most of our investigations. Fortunately our efforts paid off eventually. We had no problems at all with Sunstate.

All the staff we worked with at Sunstate Homes were extremely helpful and easy to deal with. We kept out of their way but they kept us updated with the progress regularly. They were very accommodating whenever we asked to view the house. Our line of communication was mainly with the owner itself and our emails and inquiries were answered immediately. We would highly recommend Sunstate Homes to anyone trying to build a new house.

We are extremely happy with our new home. All the team at G.J. Gardner Brisbane Inner City West were extremely helpful and we had such a good experience dealing with them. We had been warned by friends that building your own home can be extremely stressful however GJ did a great job in managing the build and the whole process was fairly smooth. The regular communication helped iron out and concerns we had. We would highly recommend GJ for their open communication, coming in within the time frame, and delivering a gorgeous home.

“It has such a “warm and cosy” feeling, it‘s not just a house, it’s a HOME…

When we were looking to build, we absolutely fell in love with GJ Gardner homes design. We will never forget the first day we walked into the office and were blown away by it. The staff were absolutely the nicest people we have ever met and very knowledgeable when it came to building and customizing our new home. They took the time to explain everything and make sure we were extremely satisfied prior to closing on the home. Ask around to people who have built homes and they will tell you it was a “hassle” or “they would never do it again”; I have to tell you that I WOULD DO IT AGAIN BUT ONLY WITH GJ Gardner Homes Brisbane Inner City West. Throughout our build, there were issues that arose; however, a simple phone call and the issues were resolved immediately and to our liking. It is without hesitation that I would recommend GJ’s to anyone building their “dream home”. My wife and I had GJ Gardner build our new home in Kenmore. Right from the start they were easy to deal with and everything proceeded smoothly and on time. They kept us advised as to how it was progressing and we were able to visit regularly and made some changes as we went along which was easy to do.

We engaged Jesse in early 2020 and over 2 years later we are still going through the QBCC defect process. Jesses dad, Onni Vuorinen, was our draftsman recommended by Ace Restumping. When Onni recommended his son Jesse as a builder we explored this and got comparative quotes. Jesse came in significantly cheaper and us being inexperienced and wanting to give a young guy with a young family a go during COVID, we engaged Finn Builders. This decision has caused us two years plus of regret, financial distress, impact on our mental health and well being and excessive amounts of time spent proving work is defective on our site. If you are considering Finn Builders I’d be happy for you to contact me directly and I can personally share our experience with you. My best advice if you are considering Finn Builders, based on my experience, is to look elsewhere.

Contacted Master Builders QLD to report a member who has breached their code of conduct. They basically informed we they won’t take action unless the builder loses their license or goes to jail. My opinion is that Master Builders QLD is just a rubber stamp for dodgy builders.
