Always a pleasure to work with, Jerry is a master of his trade. Being extraordinarily meticulous, no job is too big or small for Jerry to insist on 100% satisfaction to his own exacting standards. It is a rare find these days to have a tradesman complete work as if it were their own property. This is what you can expect from Jerry, along with being courteous and mindful on all occasions. I have no hesitation in recommending Jerry to all aspects of construction or renovation and will certainly be using him for my next project.

Jerry has helped me in giving my first home a TLC. He did my ceiling, lights, deck, bedrooms and now we’re doing work on the outdoor aesthetics. So far I’m very pleased and it’s been hassle-free. Next I’m planning on doing the bathroom.

Gardner Construction completed a high-quality full renovation of our former single-level semi into an amazing light-filled two-storey architect-designed dream home. We selected Gardener Construction after reviewing builders in the area and consideration of the demonstrated standard and quality of prior builds, price and feedback from clients on their working relationship with each builder and their team. We felt confident with our decision having received personal recommendations from friends and acquaintances, as well as the professionalism, knowledge and integrity demonstrated throughout the tender process.  We are happy to say that Gardener Construction did not let us down.  Working with the Gardner team including Owen, Matt, Shaun and Sarah made the entire build an enjoyable experience. Gardner delivered in terms of both the quality of construction and design of all our joinery. As first time home renovators, J+CG was very honest about the process and what would be involved. There work was always carried out efficiently and in a professional manner. There communication skills were amazing and they were happy to answer any questions my partner and I had and made us feel at ease with the whole process. The tradesmen were super helpful and left the worksite clean and tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend J+CG to anyone. Thank you J+CG for everything!

When i engaged J+CG Constructions, they showed from the initial meeting that they had my best interest at heart. I found the team to be very reliable and trustworthy. i had interviewed several builders and found them to be a step ahead of the rest. I will not hesitate the team on other up and coming projects. no job too big or small. Highly recommended.

We know Karl as our kids go to school together and I have also come across Karl’s work on Francis Street at our friend’s house. When I was needing to fix an issue and renovate our bathrooms it was an easy decision to work with Karl and his team. We fully gutted out and renovated our upstairs main bathroom, main powder room and ensuite bathroom. From start to finish Karl and his team were awesome to deal with – from the boys that did the demolishing, Minh the Tiler, and Rob the Plumber. Even when we had the unfortunate event of a burst pipe Karl was there straight away to take care of it. Karl took responsibility when issues arose, which made me feel calm and in good hands. I love the new modern look of the bathrooms and especially the shower screen. I have already referred Karl to my friends and will do so again.

Karl and his team did a full refurbishment of our Kingsford home. Total cost about $200K. When we sold the house a few years later we made a profit of about $450K after taking that cost into account. Very happy with all aspects of his work

We have been left with a garage that leaks. Nick has all the excuses and blames others. I went to Fair trading for advice but they won’t rule on water ingress, it has to go through NCAT. Regardless, the builder refuses to return to fix the problems. The photos speak for themselves. When it rains our garage floods. It leaks on our side too and comes through the brick walls. It has nothing to do with the neighbour’s guttering. We’ve had it inspected and both council and a builder have said it’s to do with the way it’s been built and the builder should return to fix it but he won’t. The service has been extremely disappointing and distressing. Why would we have built the garage in the first place if this was going to happen? You should have advised us Nick from the beginning if you knew what you were doing. I wouldn’t want this happening to anyone else.

Nick blames the neighbour’s gutter but it is his brick wall that leaks water when it rains. The gutter has since been removed and it still leaks. It even leaks through our side of the wall so nothing to do with the neighbour. He hasn’t even been on site to inspect it. Nick refuses to reply, accept or repair the issues and problems that have arisen. He was requested many times over many months to meet us on site but refuses to take any responsibility and doesn’t tell the truth. He even lied to fair trading. A reputable builder would not leave their client in this mess. He should have built it properly in the first place and we wouldn’t be having these problems which shows his inexperience and that he doesn’t care. If he did care, he would fix it (but does he know how?) and I wouldn’t have to write this review. It has been extremely stressful. Would you want this to happen to you?

Nick talks himself up and completes the build, but once the problems arise, the dodging starts to occur.
We have been left with a defective build that he will not come and fix. We have communicated and he claims we do not want him on site. We want him to fix the problem. Why would we not want him on site?
I do not believe he is as experienced, professional or reputable as he leads you to believe. Ours was a simple build and it is flawed. I would hate to know how a more complex build could end. Please feel free to contact me for more honest information.
