Barroso Building never disappoints. We did our bathrooms last year and we just recently finished our kitchen and ground floor reno. Both major and complex projects.

The craftsmanship, reliability and professionalism of Jose and all the team is simply incredible. Don’t hesitate to call this guys for all your renovation and development needs. You won’t be disappointed.
We will be using these guys for our exterior Reno next time.

Jose takes the time to explain in detail, is conscious of getting a good price / outcome for the client. Always extremely punctual which says a lot these days. We wouldn’t be living, happily and affordably in our beautifully renovated home if it wasn’t for Barosso. Jose takes real pride in every thing he does and the final product shows. Thank you!

We had two bathrooms done. It was a difficult project due to the space but Jose was amazing helping us coming up with a design that was both workable and stylish. Jose has an amazing interior design flair.
The project is finished and we could not be happier with the result!

We are very impressed by Jose’s professionalism and fantastic communication. He kept us informed every step of the process and nothing was too much trouble for him.
He also helped us staying within budget and his quote was very detailed and accurate.

We cannot recommend Barroso Building highly enough! So much that we are already planning our next big kitchen reno with these guys!

I first used Ardent Builders to repair another dodgey tradespersons work and the ensuing water damage they caused on the roof of my house. Matthew went out of his way to ensure my home was secure from any further water ingress and that the rework and repairs were completed quickly and correctly with an extreamly neat finish. I can highly recommend the team from Ardent Builders as their work and professionalism was of the highest standards. Not only would I recommend them but I am about to build my next home with them.

Construct-Right are builders who really care about the outcomes of their work. There was nothing too difficult and the ideas and suggestions made on my renovations were just incredible. I cannot praise Construct-Right lead by Milan Acimovic enough. If you want a professional quality job then just give them a call .

It sure makes a difference dealing with experienced people when it involves your own home. I’ve been burnt before because of incompetent operators but United B&RB were excellent. No ambiguous excuses, delay tactics or BS.

Having dealt with the principal previously on the full construction of my home, I still got the same attention and service for a much smaller renovation. They really wanted my business and put in the required effort and gave me unbelievable service to get it.

I highly recommend this company. They are several notches above others I have dealt with.

We also have a fantastic experience with Sunstate Homes. We had built previously with another larger builder and were very happy with what he did for us. So when Sunstate Homes was introduced by one of our family members it was a difficult decision which builder to use. But we thought we give them a try and see how they compare with our previous builder.

Right from outset we felt very comfortable. The help to get our plan designed to our liking and budget was incredible. All without any pressure to pay deposits or make any commitments. We were happy to continue with Sunstate.

Our house was built without any problems and with full communication from the owner of the company. He was always available for a chat or to meet on site. The staff and tradesmen are also a delight to work with. Everyone was very helpful.

We moved in last months and are very please with the result. Proud to have a beautiful home. Just the landscaping to finish off now. We are extremely happy and glad that we decided to build with this builder. Highly recommended and more than happy to give further information if requested by anyone.

We recently built a new home with Sunstate Homes in Red Hill. Our new home is beautiful and the construction process was enjoyable for us. Amir is so knowledgeable and approachable, and his team are very good at what they do. We had a budget that we needed to keep within, and the Sunstate Homes team were able to come up with a design which ticked all our boxes and worked within our budget. Amazing. Would recommend Sunstate Homes to anyone looking to build in Brisbane

Sunstate Homes did an excellent job building our home in Kenmore. Our house was ready 2.5 weeks ahead of schedule and to a very high standard. My husband and I spend a tremendous amount of time researching established builders in the area. Overall we felt that Sunstate Homes came up tops in most of our investigations. Fortunately our efforts paid off eventually. We had no problems at all with Sunstate.

All the staff we worked with at Sunstate Homes were extremely helpful and easy to deal with. We kept out of their way but they kept us updated with the progress regularly. They were very accommodating whenever we asked to view the house. Our line of communication was mainly with the owner itself and our emails and inquiries were answered immediately. We would highly recommend Sunstate Homes to anyone trying to build a new house.

The property of my sister was done by Newstart Homes 2 years ago and she was not 100% happy with the outcome. I contacted them 6 months back regarding revamping of the same property (basically for consultation, as it is their work). The new management and their approach took me by surprise. I am glad they decided to ‘revamp’ their management to serve the customers better. About the result – Absolutely happy. As we have had a not-so-good experience with Newstart Homes previously, the new management was too generous with the quote and the service to make up for our bad experience in the past. Extremely happy with the new team.

Our experience with Newstart Homes (Bundall, Queensland) was extremely frustrating and very disappointing. Poor workmanship by contractors was never rectified because the site-manager was never on-site to pull them up. Many defects existed when we moved in and fixes were slow and often not satisfactory. Some promises by the site-manager (to replace a faulty toilet door handle, and to fix a wardrobe door that slides open on its own) have not been honored and we are told that time has run out. One major issue that is still annoying us is the fact that the wrong gas cooktop was installed and when it was replaced with the correct one, the cutout in the bench is too big and the cooktop has slipped into the cutout causing the top to become distorted and not level. Oil, water, whatever, sinks to one side of the cooking pots. We have complained about this for months. Today, Newstart Homes informed me that they do not intend doing anything about this. They made the mistake in the first place. There have been so many other frustrating times with Newstart Homes that I could write pages about their lack of interest and lack of professionalism. Do not build with Newstart Homes. They suck big time.

We’ve built an investment home with Newstart Homes previously and was happy with everything from the sales person we dealt with to staff at their head office in Bundall and have just decided to build our next house with them. Didn’t come across any issues at any stage apart from some minor delays with getting the plan drawn. I did a review on them on product review ages ago. Hope this helps. (Sorry, this isn’t really a review, more of a reply to the previous person who posted a question on Google) I’ll post another review once our current house is completed.

Lots of building and reno ideas, a bit overwhelming and you can get lost easy if you don’t follow the arrows (reminds me of getting lost in ikea) Good to touch and see products and fantastic Polytec display. Brochures available. Free parking and handy location.

This place is huge! It was a little overwhelming at first because there are so many vendors here so we just went through bit by bit getting ideas. We’re building new through a builder so a lot of the displays we saw we probably won’t use sure to builder having their own suppliers but it was good to go through and see what’s current.

What was also good is they have undercover parking on site so we didn’t have to worry about trying to find a street Park

Truly blessed and grateful for the brilliant Nelvin Das, he took 2 very overwhelmed rookies through a house build. He helped us decifer the contract negotiation stage, made sure we were aware of things that may impact our costs, he provided advice on things we might like to include or shared insights on what didn’t go so well. He also walked with us through building inspections. The level of comfort he provided was invaluable and I would highly recommend contacting Buildi if you are considering building a house, particularly first timers.

Don’t waste your time with this Builder broker.

We employed Buildi to get the tender for our custom build first home. We have decided to work with the Buildi after visiting their website. Nelvin from Buildi agreed to provide us with three quotations in 3 to 6 weeks where we have provide our detailed list of inclusions and expectations and our budget $650K. After 4 weeks of continuous follow up Nelvin came back and said he don’t have any quotation from any builders, however we can work with the builder ,that he thinks was perfect for our custom build who can give us a quotation, if we pay $5000 deposit. We paid and gone ahead believing that we found the builder. Things went ok until concept drawings stage.

After concept plan was finalized the Builder that he recommended (Callaway homes) took 8 1/2 weeks to give us the quotation , stating that they are waiting for the timber frame estimate. Finally after 4 months of waiting to get the tender we received a quotation for $900K which was very basic tender without any itemized cost details to work on. We were shocked by the tender prize!! we have asked for a detailed quote and Nelvin said builder was not willing to provide any detailed quote rather we can walk out with our concept plan. Finally we end up moving out of the builder losing 5K and walked out with our concept plan.

Even though, the major issue was with the builder that he recommended. Other half of the issue was Buildi, Nelvin gave us continuous hope saying that Callaway homes was able to work with in our budget, which wasn’t the case.

We wasted 4 months of our time with buildi and hardly hit with the continuously raising construction costs now.

I would not recommend to waste your time with this broker , if you are keen to start the project.

We are extremely happy with our new home. All the team at G.J. Gardner Brisbane Inner City West were extremely helpful and we had such a good experience dealing with them. We had been warned by friends that building your own home can be extremely stressful however GJ did a great job in managing the build and the whole process was fairly smooth. The regular communication helped iron out and concerns we had. We would highly recommend GJ for their open communication, coming in within the time frame, and delivering a gorgeous home.

“It has such a “warm and cosy” feeling, it‘s not just a house, it’s a HOME…

When we were looking to build, we absolutely fell in love with GJ Gardner homes design. We will never forget the first day we walked into the office and were blown away by it. The staff were absolutely the nicest people we have ever met and very knowledgeable when it came to building and customizing our new home. They took the time to explain everything and make sure we were extremely satisfied prior to closing on the home. Ask around to people who have built homes and they will tell you it was a “hassle” or “they would never do it again”; I have to tell you that I WOULD DO IT AGAIN BUT ONLY WITH GJ Gardner Homes Brisbane Inner City West. Throughout our build, there were issues that arose; however, a simple phone call and the issues were resolved immediately and to our liking. It is without hesitation that I would recommend GJ’s to anyone building their “dream home”. We are extremely satisfied with our new home and think you will be also if you choose GJ Gardner Homes inner city west as your builder!”

They kept us advised as to how it was progressing and we were able to visit regularly and made some changes as we went along which was easy to do.

We have been really impressed with our house recently built by Fortitude. We found Corey and the team very professional and great to deal with. Nothing was a problem and they were always very prompt & clear with their communication. The materials, fixtures & fittings are of a much higher quality than any of their comparatively priced competitors for an equivalent sized house.

Even with all of the recent difficulties in the industry (sub contractor & material supply shortages & price increases etc) they went the extra mile to ensure our build process went as smoothly as possible.

Would definitely recommend Fortitude!

Our experience with Fortitude homes have been fantastic. From the begin of the jorney till the end. We could not be any happier. They built our home in such a speed and amazing quality. Extremely impressed with the quality of my build and the whole process. Very straightforward, honest and lovely to deal with. They finished my house in 90 days which was wayyyy earlier than what was promised. Very hard to find great honest builders like this. Got exactly what I was promised in terms of inclusions and specifications. Some of their inclusions are actually pretty impressive which are often overseen by other big builders – like kitchen storage space, high quality handles, tapware, whirly bird etc. Most builders charge extra for every little thing but these guys go on fixed cost basis. I’m very happy with my investment property and will definitely recommend Fortitude Homes to my friends and family.
