4 Places to Check Out in Killara

Greengate Hotel

You have very little chance of not being aware that The Greengate Hotel is a local establishment. Because of its heritage of 190 years and its versatility, the pub has become a beloved North Shore institution. It’s also known for hosting the annual Christmas Eve Party. We hope to see you there. This open layout makes it ideal for COVID-19 occasions when you’re looking to meet friends, enjoy lunch with colleagues or spend time with family while enjoying live music and good food, or to host an event. Every Tuesday, there are the popular pub trivia nights!

The Tempted Tamper

East Killara’s The Tempted Tamper is a cozy joint that serves up all-day brekkie, speciality coffee and delicious lunches. The cafe’s signature stacks include smashed avocado with whippedfeta, broccolini sauce on soy lineseed, roasted halloumi and homemade base. The pulled pork Benedict, French toast, or shakshuka, with fresh seasonal berries and whipped vanilla cream, French toast, French Toast, French Toast, French Toast, French toast, crushed meringue, toasted pescatoo, and espresso caramel should be enough to tempt you. Grab one of the delicious looking wraps with salmon, bulgogi, pesto chicken or tandoori chicken for a quick lunch. Don’t forget to mention that the cafe supports local artists and you may find some great stuff for your home.

Crewel Gobelin

It all started in 1976 as an informal home-based needlework group of three friends. Today, it is 40 years old. Crewel Gobelin’s current location at 9 Marian Street Killara, NSW has been home to the company since 1996. It offers all the benefits of a specialty needle workshop and evolves with its customers. The store offers a wide range of embroidery supplies, including patterns, kits, laces, and threads. The workshop with local tutors in needlework has been cancelled by COVID-19. However, the shop can check to confirm when it will resume.

National Trust Shop

National Trust Shop Killara is not just a shop where you can buy gifts. It’s also part of an international non-profit organization that began in Sydney to preserve historic architecture. However, it has expanded to encompass natural, Indigenous and cultural heritage from every territory and state. To be a part of something amazing, you can join the club, make a donation or become a volunteer. You can also visit the shop and buy gifts, books, and homewares for your family and friends this holiday season. Some of the designs, such as the Christmas cards, will make you fall in love.

7LA Park segues nicely from Two Creeks Track as part of a vigorous riverine bushwalk from Roseville Chase to East Killara.

Awesome place that I visited. I visited this place after a rainy day. The trees and plants are fresh and green. When I keep walking, I heard the water sound and wildlife animals. I feel I would like to explore more and take all day for photography. I climbed on the rocks and enjoy walking. The sandstone pillar overhang is beautiful and fantastic. Don’t forget to visit this place if you like nature life.

A stunning and serene oasis on Sydney’s North Shore! This is a beautiful place to hold a marriage ceremony. The gardens are immaculate and are a perfect backdrop for photos. Parking is available on the street.

Really beautiful and nice place for parties and gatherings. Lots of small children with families having fun. One thing- there is always very many leaches after it rains (up to 48hrs after) so just be careful with young children who may want to pick them up etc.

A hidden oasis with winding paths and beautiful flowers. When I went in November the jasmine was out in full bloom wrapped around a small bandstand. The nice area with seating for parties was booked out though.
