Parks are a wonderful place to relax and get some fresh air. They can also be a great spot for an afternoon picnic with friends, or simply to enjoy the scenery. There is plenty of greenery and wildlife in parks, so it’s perfect if you need some time away from city life! Here we explore four different parks in Norah Head, NSW that we think deserve your attention!
If you want to have fun outdoors, then Norah Head Holiday Park is a great choice for you. There are plenty of activities to enjoy such as fishing and hiking among the sand dunes! Along with this, there are also amazing views from the cliff tops which you can experience by taking a walk along the coastal track!
Lions Park is an ideal park if you are looking to have a picnic with friends. The park has plenty of shade which means it can be perfect for hot days, and there are also some barbeques available so you don’t even need to pack your own! There are also sports facilities in this area such as basketball courts, soccer fields and more.
Jenny Dixon Reserve is a great place to take your children if you want them to experience some nature. The reserve has a playground, as well as lovely gardens which are perfect for exploring! There’s also a cafe on-site in case you get hungry while enjoying the park.
This park is also great for a walk, as there are plenty of different paths to take depending on what you’re looking for. You can go for a leisurely stroll or get your heart rate up with a more vigorous hike!
Norah Head is home to some beautiful parks that we think everyone should visit at least once! There’s something for everyone, so be sure to check out these parks the next time you’re in the area. And who knows, maybe you’ll find your new favourite spot!
This was our first family trip away and we found the holiday park was great for our family!
The staff were lovely and helpful. The cabins were a good size, the beds were fairly comfortable, the jumping pillow and the pool was great for the kids. They had a blast!
We look forward to returning in the New Year.
We have been holidaying here for over 20 years. It’s a beautiful park and the current managers Simon and Jo always seem to make our stay even better. Extremely friendly and always so helpful. Many thanks to them for making our annual holidays perfect.
It has excellent barbecue and kitchen facilities nice pool and entertainment area for the kids to run around nice clean cabins or take your own van and very close to a great beach very nice all over

My family & I had a great experience with Aurrum @ Norah Head. Our 95 year old mother came up from the Northern Beaches in Sydney & spent 4 weeks in respite there. The atmosphere is friendly & caring & we all felt very comfortable coming & going. The whole facility is a great credit to Karen, the manager, & her staff & reassuring in light of so much negativity about aged care .

The 2 ladies were very helpful with buying a present for my wife
I love this boutique! Gorgeous brands that aren’t in every shop. I have bought a few dresses and sunglasses from here and get so many compliments. The owner is very sweet…. She helped my husband pick out some shoes for my Xmas present (which I loved), so thank you!!

Thank you so much for all your assistance and help, we really appreciate it a lot. Dean & I had a fantastic honeymoon.
We were both so happy with everything you did for us on our day, you made the process so easy and comfortable, especially when I was very overwhelmed and got a little flustered, you smoothed over all the patches with great timing and a little humour. It definitely helped me relax a lot .
We both cannot thank you enough for all your help and the flexibility you showed us . Kathryn x

We loved our stay in the Head Lighthouse Keepers cottage. It was brilliant. It’s a big lovely heritage house with three bedrooms, a big kitchen, dining room, sitting room with a gas log fireplace, bathroom with an excellent shower and wonderful beds.
The verandah wraps around half of it and the main part faces the lighthouse and the sea. There is an outdoor dining setting and deck chairs too. I found the outdoor chairs very uncomfortable but that is my only criticism.
As it was winter, we enjoyed the use of the gas patio heater as we wanted to view and take photos of the night sky and all the stars after moon set. It was very cold up there at midnight in the middle of winter.
The manager Tracey was so friendly and helpful and made our stay even better. Thank you.
The house is not wheelchair accessible. There are three steps at the front, two steps at the back door and one step from the kitchen down to the laundry to reach the bathroom. That said, they do not advertise it as accessible. Inside the hallways are wide enough for a wheelchair and the rooms are big enough for one.
I was so happy to sit and watch the whales go by, listen to the ocean waves and the birds, watch sunrise and sunset and relax. This was one of my most enjoyed holidays for the magnificent experience.
This place was amazing built in 1903 it was a trip back in time the people were very nice the beautiful white picket fence and flat layout made it very child friendly and beach was only a short walk and while staying there the light house tour is included two thumbs up
