If you are a parent considering a move to Sydney, North Bondi should be at the top of your list! With its amazing beaches, great schools, and convenient location, North Bondi is an ideal place to raise a family. In this blog post, we will take a closer look at some of the things that make North Bondi, NSW such a great place to live with kids. Keep reading to find out why so many families are choosing North Bondi as their home!
Schools in North Bondi are some of the best in Sydney. There are plenty of great public and private schools to choose from, so you can find the perfect fit for your family. And with the University of New South Wales just a short drive away, North Bondi is also a great place for kids who are looking to further their education.
What makes the schools in North Bondi so great? One of the things that set them apart is the focus on providing a well-rounded education. In addition to academic subjects, students are also taught about art, music, and physical education. This ensures that kids are getting an education that will benefit them in all aspects of their lives.
Another thing that makes North Bondi schools great is the diversity of the student body. Students from all backgrounds and cultures are welcome, which helps to create a tolerant and accepting environment. This is something that is important to many families when choosing a school for their kids.
In addition to having great schools, North Bondi is also a great place to socialize. There are plenty of parks and playgrounds for kids to enjoy, as well as a variety of clubs and activities that they can participate in. This gives families the opportunity to meet other families with similar interests and values.
North Bondi is also home to a number of community events throughout the year. These events provide an excellent opportunity for families to come together and celebrate their community spirit. Some of the most popular events include the North Bondi Festival, the Easter Egg Hunt, and the Christmas Carols by the Sea.
Another reason why so many families choose North Bondi as their home is its convenient location. North Bondi is just a short drive from the city center, making it easy for parents to commute to work. It is also close to many of Sydney’s most popular attractions, such as Bondi Beach and the Sydney Opera House. This makes it easy for families to get out and explore all that Sydney has to offer.
As you can see, there are many great reasons why North Bondi is an ideal place for families. If you are considering a move to Sydney, be sure to check out North Bondi! You won’t be disappointed.

Terrible hostel. Nobody at the reception. Digital key to enter in the hostel and bedroom, no safe at all. Bathroom filthy, awful. Kitchen closes at 10 pm and there isn’t other water in the hostel so if you need water after that time you have to drink the water in the bathroom. I found water near my bed in the floor. AC works for only about 30 minutes and then it stops automatically. I don’t reccomend this hostel to anyone.

Only stayed one night. Good locking system, clean, very very rundown. Would not recommend the bottom floor, it is so noisy! The kitchen was open at all hours! People banging and cooking past midnight.

Small rooms, shared rooms males and females in the same rooms. No privacy for anyone. Kitchen is small, fridges are awful. Washing machines and dryers near the food. Cleaners going through personal belongings. Toilets and showers together very unhygienic. Wouldn’t recommend staying here again. They discriminate against Australians to stay here, only allow international students and travellers to stay here. Rooms are messy

Great location, right on the promenade. Plenty of seating out the front for people watching. Food was cheap and delicious… drinks were strong! The accommodation was amazing, great beds and welcoming staff throughout the whole place. Booked again for next week đ

I attended the Bondi Hotel on the Wednesday night for a pub meal. As a tourist and first time visitor to Bondi, I was recommended this place for a meal. The Security asked for my vaccination certificate and for me to sign into the place, as requested by signage and asked in a very friendly way. I did this and proceeded to head inside to the bar for a meal and a couple of beers. I get inside and I was greeted by a worker by the name of Skye (unsure on the spelling). She was a really friendly and helpful person along with her co-workers. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for a good meal and drink in a nice atmosphere with kind staff.

Went there with my friends last night for drinks and dance. This place always had its downsides but after yesterday I’m definitely NOT coming back again! Caught a guy who was cleaning glasses from people’s table trying to take mine and my friend’s purse while we were dancing!! When I went up to him he started to yelling at me and kicking chairs. So watch out for you stuff guys, they think you’re drunk so you won’t notice.

Real community feel here. My favorite hostel in Australia. The building is old and run down, but the rooms are big and the view from the roof can’t be beat

Good burger joint, I was very satisfied with my order đ I got a beef burger and the patty was yummy and thick, the bread and sauce very nice, I do recommend it!
Friendly and helpful staff as well đ
I had some of the usual ingredients (tomatoes, pickles) removed (cause I don’t like it) and they let me add something else instead at no extra cost so I’m grateful for that, cause many places don’t do it

We had a booking but cancelled when we got there because the front desk staff do not know how to be hospitable. Ironic isnât it? Since they work in the hospitality industry. They spoke to my husband like he was empty space. Then looked at me as though I shouldnât waste my time living. You know the type – like those young shop assistants who look straight through you if you are older than 22 and donât fit a size 8 skinny jean. This misdirected bunch of ineffectual hospitality workers are a blight on Australian tourism – but why? I am glad you asked – we did not have a credit card. We lost it somewhere that day on our way to Sydney. The reason for the credit card is to guard against damage and fraud. We did not have a credit card but we had a prepaid booking. Hmmmm, ok. Can we rest after our long journey do you think? No. They needed a credit card so they could place $1 against our account as, yes, you guessed it, damages. Right? Well, I think maybe wrong because when we offered them a dollar cash (which, if you remember, was all they were going to take from our credit card) they said they needed more money than that. More than $1? Ok. How much? Boy, greedy their little eyes lit up, as if to say âmuch moreâ. We said, but that is all you said would be charged to my husbands credit card and so on until the manager, Mr No Plan B, found his little ineffectual self in the spotlight with no other option in his tiny pee brain and no where to hide. You get me? My next question is, how much is enough (in cash, mind you) if not $1? We didnât stay. Would you? We are not the sum total of two nights stay at a Bondi hotel. We are people with feelings who stand up for our moral values just like everyone else. While, the small matter of two prepaid nights is not our problem (because my husband is in Sydney on business). We care. I bet you, when the people who did prepay for our room hear what happened there will be some deep discussion. If they were to ask me, I would suggest there is a section somewhere in a Commonwealth Act that might do a lot of the talking for them. Donât get me wrong, I really appreciate kindness, hospitality, feeling welcome and valued. What I donât appreciate is what I experienced today and I will not stand idly by while people I care about are treated badly. Not on my watch. 15 February 2022.

Love this place! I think you experience the best of Sydney staying here, the vibe around Bondi Beach is really fun and feels far more authentic and local than staying in a city hotel. The apartment is spacious and comfortable and I love having a washing machine and dryer as well as the extra living area. Heaps to do in local area, from the stunning cliff top walk to Bronte, dinner at Icebergs, lunches in cool cafes and the amazing food at the local weekend market.

Hands down one of the worst places we’ve ever stayed at, but at $100 a night with parking included, the value is hard to beat
No ammeneties provided, the shower doors don’t close, the hot water cycles from boiling to cold every minute or so, the air conditioners are loud and occasionally dump water on your doorstep, you can hear everything from nearby apartments, and there are crickets everywhere outside and in the pool
But the beds are comfy, it’s super close to the beach, it felt private and safe inside, the rooms are large for a studio, parking is right outside the apartment, no bed bugs or insects inside, the linen is fresh and the staff are friendly
So definitely not roughing it, and we’d probably stay here again to reduce costs, but definitely not somewhere I’d stay if you plan to do more than sleep and shower here

Rooms were perfect for our needs, spotless and super handy to include kitchenette. The hosts were really welcoming and helpful. The location was awesome and just a short walk from the main strip. I had a delightful stay there & will be back again. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Honestly I’m a bit surprised to see the bad reviews on here. Beach Road Hotel has been a favourite of ours for years! Great atmosphere, skillful staff and the security are extremely friendly every time. I think they are definitely strict with their RSA (refusing people in) which I think is totally understandable to keep everyone else safe. If you’re thinking of coming here but are thrown off by some of these reviews, please go and see it your self. Love this place!

It’s fine for a beer and a dance but the new menu looks and tastes no good. Cheeseburger with house bbq sauce and soggy wilted salad at the bottom of the burger…no idea. Anyway yea get a beer and some chips maybe.

Beautifully designed, calm hotel just seconds from Bondi Beach. The team facilitated a contact-free check in, and were discretely available if the need arose (it didnât!) My elegant room was peaceful and well appointed, with a separate kitchen area with coffee and tea making facilities, hand-made crockery and glassware – and included a simple, delicious breakfast (extra ticks for supplying a plant based milk for me!) The bed was comfy, large and invitingly made up with cool, antique inspired linens in muted tones. There were twin seating areas which could be made up into single beds if children were in the picture. The bathroom included toiletries from local brand Leif. I fell in love with the lavender-scented terrace and could have spent hours there reading and soaking up the spring sunshine, oblivious to the weekend hum of a busy Bondi Beach. The perfect spot for a local staycation.

We have come to Australia for three months. In the first month my husband Richard and myself have gone through 8 books all purchase from Gertrude and Alice. We cannot keep away from this wonderful spiritual cafe/bookshop. I see magic at work in here. People who have never met get into lengthy conversations. A place of comfort and welcoming. The staff are amazing and so knowledgeable.
As soon as you walk through the door you are leaving the hum drum of life behind.
Thank you Jane for this wonderful soulful sanctuary.

I sent a direct message on the Gertrude & Alice Instagram account asking for novel recommendations. They responded immediately and mentioned theyâd look into it for me and let me know ASAP! Wow!!! The service was above and beyond! I couldnât believe the trouble they went to.They sent me videos of the novels and talked about what I would like about them and also read the first paragraph. I live in Melbourne, I will continue to buy from this lovely bookstore and hopefully visit one day.
