Ultimo is a suburb in Sydney, Australia. It was named after the Latin word for last or final and has been home to many people over the years. Ultimo’s location near central Sydney makes it a great place to spend time exploring and experiencing what life has to offer! Here are 5 things you can do while you’re there:
This suburb has some really great parks and gardens, so spending time enjoying the sunshine with your family or friends is a must. Additionally, the Ultimo Community Garden is a great place for anyone with green thumbs to volunteer and help grow fresh food.
Ultimo, NSW has been home to many historical figures over time, so be sure to visit some of its museums while you’re there! The Powerhouse Museum has fascinating exhibits that allow visitors from all walks of life to learn about history without even realizing it. They have something for everyone here – from kids’ activities and workshops to live performances and special events. Check out their website below:
Whether you love theatre or not, Malthouse Theatre’s cafe venue will entertain you no matter your interests! This space transforms into different themed performing arts cafes throughout the year, which allows visitors to experience theatre in a way they never have before.
Ultimo has some of the best food trucks around, so if you’re looking for somewhere with an eclectic mix of cuisines and flavours, this is the place to go. Some of our favourites include Grumpy Gringo (Mexican), Pieminister (Pie), and Mr. Burger (Burgers). Have fun trying something new!
Ultimo Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday from early morning until 12 PM at The Bridge Room on Darley Road. You can find fresh produce here that hasn’t been shipped all over Australia – just take a look at what local farmers have to offer! If you’re in the mood for something a little more festive, check out Sydney’s Chinese New Year Festival. This event is one of the biggest and most colourful celebrations in Sydney, so be sure to experience it at least once while you’re here!

I have been attending the AMS Redfern for over 30 years. Today after almost 2 years not being able to go due to Covid i went to get some long overdue health issues dealt with. After a two hour wait to see the only Dr available i was shuffled in and out in around 5 mins after Dr said she world have to finish with a phone consultation because there other clients for her to see. Not good enough AMS perhaps because it’s a medical service you should concentrate on hiring Dr’s instead of general staff. Duty of care is seriously missing from the AMS these days

Our first Aboriginal Community Controlled Health service, quality general practice with community at its core. Highly professional and helpful staff, and their clinical team is amazing (they saved my life)

Went there in the 80s with my indigenous husband and children.
They were fine when my husband was around but totally rude and nasty if I went there by myself.
Eventually was told not to come back.
I enquired to whom made this rule and was told that a lady called May O’Grady said so.
Never came back with my kids included a severely disabled child.
Hope things have improved.

If there was a zero star I would rate this practice a zero star due to the incredibly poor customer service provided by the receptionist.
My partner and I made an appointment via the online booking system for a phone consult. We did not know that we would not qualify for bulk billing on phone consult as there was no prompts provided when we booked. 5mins before before my partners appointment and 5mins after my appointment we received a call from the practice informing us that we were not eligible to have our phone consults under bulk billing.
We tried to ask what options are available and provide feedback on how this process could be improved.
The receptionist promptly hung up on me. Clearly they don’t care about the experience of their patients nor about continuous improvement.
I would not recommend anyone to visit this practice. Ever again.

Booked via healthengine for a covid-19 vaccine booster. Was expecting chaos after reading reviews but couldn’t have gone smoother. Young man at reception was polite and efficient, all info I entered online was reflected in their records. I was given clear directions to the treatment room, where I was straight in on time for my 4pm appointment. Friendly nurses who went through the checks and disclaimers then delivered the vaccine swiftly. Waiting my 15 minutes now then off. Easy and no fuss.

The worst clinic I have visited in my entire life.
Stuff are really rude and negative. I can understand people are experiencing a difficult time particularly stuff in medical field.
But there is no reason for customer of ur clinic to pay for it.
More importantly. U ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GET VACILLATED HERE IF U DO NOT HAVE MEDICARE!!!
I got no notification about this until I had been waiting one month for my booster.

It’s best to find a better Medical Centre. Only post a review like this after multiple incidents but the most recent one was for a service they couldn’t provide. Tried using their online scripts which they charge $20 and had to use PayPal for payment. Then when they couldn’t provide and offered to refund, I could only do it back in the Centre. Lucky I was going there already now for the script but instead of $20 they only refunded $12 due to paypal fees? How is that the consumers fault if they are the ones who couldn’t provide the service and offered the refund? Other things included regular doctors leaving and not updating. Doctors selecting patients and even refusing to see patients after seeing them and blocking them from booking on online platform and abrupt front desk staff with little empathy or understanding for others. All in all best to find another local medical centre.

I have been attending this medical practice for a number of years. Dr Lee Lim and Dr Diep are fantastic. The two stars are for them.
My issue is with the rude reception staff (a common complaint for this practice) and the abrasive practice manager Stephen. I’ve always been willing to put up with this because the doctors are so great.
However, the treatment of patients by particular reception staff has become progressively worse, and I have reached my limit. I am always kind and courteous with them, but they don’t seem to reciprocate.
They need to be reminded that they are supporting a medical practice where sick and vulnerable people come seeking help to get better. They either don’t understand this…or don’t care.
I have moved to a new medical practice as a result.

I first went to see Dr Tanusha Hossain in 2017 when i first moved to Sydney. I am proud to say that she is still my family doctor and would like her to be so. She is highly competent, knowledgeable, proactive and compassionate. I completely trust her and her referrals. She listens without rushing and is will spend as long as required to make her patients feel comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend her. I referred a friend of mine to Dr Hossain who is very fussy (just like me) and my friend also loved it. I have lived in various countries and seen many doctors but I must admit Dr Hossain is the best doctor i have ever had and i am fortunate to have found her.

First and last time in this practice. I went to see Doc. Subhash for a routine skin cancer check and was told I had a dysplastic mole on my back that could have already turned cancerous and needed removal and biopsy. I was told to book a second appointment with him for skin cancer removal.
I was taken aback by this diagnosis and sought a second opinion from a dermatologist in a different practice. I was told by the dermatologist that the mole is perfectly normal in shape, size and colour, that there is absolutely nothing to be worried about, and that it certainly doesn’t need removal.
It is obvious that Doc. Subhash is either incompetent or unethical. Without the second opinion I would have been left with a lot of stress and a scar on my back for absolutely no reason.
The behaviour and/or competence of this doctor is dangerous and could potentially put his patients at risk. I have no choice but to report it to the Medical Board of Australia.

I want to express my absolute disappointment in regards to Dr. Q. I requested them to do something really simple which they promised they would. I sent email explaining all the details, I rang them up to remind them & I even went there personally to ask for help, but nothing has been done. If they had no intention to do so, they should’ve just said no instead of making empty promises. I’m not a new patient here. I’ve been going here for nearly a decade. so for this medical staff to not do what they promised is a deal breaker for me. I couldn’t wait any longer so I went to a different medical centre. Everything I requested was done within 10 minutes right there & then. I looked up my profile on my gov & every update was recorded there, so it proved that it wasn’t even something that would’ve taken ages. I felt that they were just being lazy even though what I requested was actually a follow-up of a procedure that they did themself years ago.

I’ve been seeing Dr Hasnani ever since I moved into the area years ago.
I have a number of complex health issues, and because of this, I’ve seen plenty of Dr’s in my 52 years.
I figure this makes me as good a judge as any.
Dr Hasnani has only ever expressed genuine concern in my problems and she has one of those memories for crazy detail.
I couldn’t be happier with the attention she’s given me and I wouldn’t even dream of needing to chase an alternative!
She’s absolutely worth 5 stars!

Doctors and medical staff are fantastic – as an earlier reviewer said, the business is let down by the front of house team. Come across as indifferent and hardly seem prepared or willing to offer solutions. If you enjoy your job, best to communicate that in the way you speak with clientele. Disappointing to have one bung cog in the machine of an awesome practice.

After living in Sydney for 10+ years, I’m confident to say that Montrose is the best clinic I’ve been to! My only go-to clinic since last year. It’s a very peaceful place. Very professional, organised, and appointment process is convenient.
But most importantly, the care that I’ve received here is top-notch. Dr Hunter is very kind, genuine, and exceptionally knowledgeable. I trust his medical advices as it has been very helpful. Highly recommended.
It’s also a bonus that the clinic has a very beautiful garden at the front – such a calming place to chill before your appointment!

I have been going to this medical centre for over 20+ years. Both reception staff and nurses are friendly and helpful. Even when the centre no longer bulk billed, I still go to this medical centre because my doctor is excellent and very caring. The wait is not as long as before as well since they have gone private.

Dr Sophia has been my GP for 8+ years. She is a wonderful person, very knowledgeable and will take the time to sit with you to discuss any issues. I would still travel the hour from my home to deal with Sophia. She has a caring nature and and is generally concerned for her patients. I can only speak highly of my experiences with her.
I wish Sophia all the best over Christmas and the New Year.
Thank you Sophia.
All the best.
Clay.

I have had a really terrible experience with them. First of all, the doctor is always late – very unprofessional. Second, I had visited him for my skin related problem, well that did not go away at all and instead he asked me to do some irrelevant blood and ultrasound tests. I paid a lot for that, paid for the medicines – and no recovery at all! Also, when asked to explain the results of the blood tests, he would email a few pdfs and would ask us to read those without explaining a single thing! Wasted a lot of time and money visiting him. Such an professional and non-cooperative doctor.

Great place to visit if you need a Medical Centre. Rachel at receptionist is amazing. Fast, efficient, professional. Dr Vickers has been my GP for several years now and I’ve found him to be an exceptional doctor, diagnostician and carer. He has won my trust and respect and I have no desire to seek any second opions. He listens and explains things in simple clear terms which is very helpful when I’m feeling stressed about my medical needs
