I have been attending the AMS Redfern for over 30 years. Today after almost 2 years not being able to go due to Covid i went to get some long overdue health issues dealt with. After a two hour wait to see the only Dr available i was shuffled in and out in around 5 mins after Dr said she world have to finish with a phone consultation because there other clients for her to see. Not good enough AMS perhaps because it’s a medical service you should concentrate on hiring Dr’s instead of general staff. Duty of care is seriously missing from the AMS these days

Went there in the 80s with my indigenous husband and children.
They were fine when my husband was around but totally rude and nasty if I went there by myself.
Eventually was told not to come back.
I enquired to whom made this rule and was told that a lady called May O’Grady said so.
Never came back with my kids included a severely disabled child.
Hope things have improved.

It’s best to find a better Medical Centre. Only post a review like this after multiple incidents but the most recent one was for a service they couldn’t provide. Tried using their online scripts which they charge $20 and had to use PayPal for payment. Then when they couldn’t provide and offered to refund, I could only do it back in the Centre. Lucky I was going there already now for the script but instead of $20 they only refunded $12 due to paypal fees? How is that the consumers fault if they are the ones who couldn’t provide the service and offered the refund? Other things included regular doctors leaving and not updating. Doctors selecting patients and even refusing to see patients after seeing them and blocking them from booking on online platform and abrupt front desk staff with little empathy or understanding for others. All in all best to find another local medical centre.

I have been attending this medical practice for a number of years. Dr Lee Lim and Dr Diep are fantastic. The two stars are for them.
My issue is with the rude reception staff (a common complaint for this practice) and the abrasive practice manager Stephen. I’ve always been willing to put up with this because the doctors are so great.
However, the treatment of patients by particular reception staff has become progressively worse, and I have reached my limit. I am always kind and courteous with them, but they don’t seem to reciprocate.
They need to be reminded that they are supporting a medical practice where sick and vulnerable people come seeking help to get better. They either don’t understand this…or don’t care.
I have moved to a new medical practice as a result.

I want to express my absolute disappointment in regards to Dr. Q. I requested them to do something really simple which they promised they would. I sent email explaining all the details, I rang them up to remind them & I even went there personally to ask for help, but nothing has been done. If they had no intention to do so, they should’ve just said no instead of making empty promises. I’m not a new patient here. I’ve been going here for nearly a decade. so for this medical staff to not do what they promised is a deal breaker for me. I couldn’t wait any longer so I went to a different medical centre. Everything I requested was done within 10 minutes right there & then. I looked up my profile on my gov & every update was recorded there, so it proved that it wasn’t even something that would’ve taken ages. I felt that they were just being lazy even though what I requested was actually a follow-up of a procedure that they did themself years ago.

I’ve been seeing Dr Hasnani ever since I moved into the area years ago.
I have a number of complex health issues, and because of this, I’ve seen plenty of Dr’s in my 52 years.
I figure this makes me as good a judge as any.
Dr Hasnani has only ever expressed genuine concern in my problems and she has one of those memories for crazy detail.
I couldn’t be happier with the attention she’s given me and I wouldn’t even dream of needing to chase an alternative!
She’s absolutely worth 5 stars!

Doctors and medical staff are fantastic – as an earlier reviewer said, the business is let down by the front of house team. Come across as indifferent and hardly seem prepared or willing to offer solutions. If you enjoy your job, best to communicate that in the way you speak with clientele. Disappointing to have one bung cog in the machine of an awesome practice.

After living in Sydney for 10+ years, I’m confident to say that Montrose is the best clinic I’ve been to! My only go-to clinic since last year. It’s a very peaceful place. Very professional, organised, and appointment process is convenient.
But most importantly, the care that I’ve received here is top-notch. Dr Hunter is very kind, genuine, and exceptionally knowledgeable. I trust his medical advices as it has been very helpful. Highly recommended.
It’s also a bonus that the clinic has a very beautiful garden at the front – such a calming place to chill before your appointment!

Booked an appointment to see a doctor this morning. it was easy to do including filling in a personal details form online in advance so it was all done when I arrived.
High levels of covid safety, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The doctor was great and helped me out. If I lived in Sydney I’d be happy to have them as my local regular medical service

Honestly very disappointed by the experience we had here. I will say that the front desk staff were very friendly throughout, but the experience was sorely lacking. The doctor literally completed the entire 30-second “consultation” from the doorway (he didn’t even walk into the consultation room), so none of our questions were answered.
As for the follow up tele-health “consultation”, he started the call by asking us (the patient) what the call is about as though he had no clue about it. Then he had to ask us why we had booked the blood test in the first place (despite already telling him and providing documents explaining the situation). A complete lack of interest and awareness of the patient is utterly shocking, I’ve never experienced that with a doctor before.
Unfortunately there are also gap payments required, so it isn’t fully bulk billed as it is advertised, nor were these fees mentioned until after consultations.

This a new very professional medical centre that I highly recommend to the community. Especially during the pandemic, from the front desk staff to the doctors and nurses will extremely helpful and went of their way to assist the patients with their questions, and run the vaccine program like experts. I was a nurse turned international educator so definitely can tell a great medical centre!

Very nice reception staff. Went for my booster vaccination and they actually took me earlier than my appointment time. Professional doctor explained the symptoms to look out for after the vaccine and was very professional, friendly and efficient. The needle didn’t even hurt. Highly recommended medical centre for your Covid-19 booster! The East Village shopping centre also provides 2 hours free parking.

I can attest that there are usually issues and mix-ups with the receptionists. Aside from that I’ve been seeing Dr. Cindy Chen since moving to Zetland and she’s always been informative and perceptive to anything else I should look into that’s pertinent to my case or any other general matters of my age. It makes me trust that I’m in safe hands.

Really great practice. The reception and admin team are incredibly helpful and professional. I moved to this practice as Dr Rupert Higgins was my doctor previously at another practice and he is such a wonderful doctor that i knew i could not let him go. Very thorough and actually seeks to get answers and not just get you out the door as quickly as possible.

Reviews 100% live up to the service. From the walk in the door, you get nothing but professional advice with a smile on their face. The reception team is super friendly and efficient & it follows throughout the workspace. A GP Practice that really cares. Dr Alex Burmey is a good doctor.
I just take one star off and it should be many more off for reception. As I read through the reviews it seems to be a problem I share with many others. I think they’re not professional and for the sake of the medical staff this should be improved asap.

Dr Ali Raza is the most dedicated, professional and compassionate GP I have ever attended. He goes above and beyond for his patients, whom he treats as individuals and not just numbers to be rushed through in minimum consultation time. His approach is a model of what the medical approach to patient care ought to be. Always had positive experiences at Ultimo Medical Practice: the receptionists and nurses are also always polite and helpful. Highly recommend!

Doctor Angela Zhou is not only a wonderful GP but also very caring, heartwarming. She is professional and she helped me understand better about my symptoms in every appointment I had with her. She’s always happy to answer my questions no matter how stupid it is. I’m really lucky to meet a doctor like her

Went here yesterday for my booster shot, check in was fine, receptionists were nice and prompt.
Then it came to getting my booster, Dr Fay Mayo came into the room with a tray which contained the syringe with vaccine, along with rubbish / used items from the previous patient (first red flag). I didn’t get shown the medication or asked my details. She proceeded to wipe my arm with what should have been an alcohol soaked cotton wool, but the wool was dry (second red flag). I was then injected and had liquid run down my arm!! She told me the liquid was alcohol…assuming that was the alcohol that was supposed to be on the cotton wool. Otherwise it would have been the Pfizer vaccine. I’m now questioning whether I even got the booster administered. I don’t know if I’m even immunised with the booster or not. And I can’t even check!
I am in the process of filing a complaint to the Health Care Complaints Commission as I feel I was failed on multiple levels for proper care and treatment.
I won’t be returning here.

It was 8:55 am, there was a sign on the door writing “ we are open, come in “ . Myself and someone else who was pregnant walked in and the girl at the reception said it’s not 9 yet, I told her can we sit in for this 4 minutes, she said no, I asked her why the sign is saying open so on the entrance! She just staring at me . Very rude

Do not go see “Dr Small”
He is very condescending and tries to rush you out the door.
I asked for a blood test on my hormones (including my Estrogen). He responded “you are a male, you do not have Estrogen, only females have that hormone”
He then declined to do the blood work I requested. I have been getting these tests done every year.
HOW CAN A DOCTOR NOT KNOW BASIC HUMAN HORMONES?
I will go see Dr Ravi next time. Unfortunately she wasn’t in that day.

They have two receptionists – an Australian woman who is lovely, and a European woman who is EXTREMELY rude, miserable and inattentive, she is very unhelpful and uninterested in her job. After reading other reviews I see that I’m not the only one who thinks this. I wont be visiting again – a shame as Andrew Small is a great doctor

This is a very efficient primary care medical practise. Their patient booking and information collection systems make booking appointments & vaccinations as easy as possible. Immediate Medicare claim handling is a service I really appreciate. Doctors, allied health workers & nurses are all friendly, good listeners & communicators. The facilities are well air conditioned & air filters are in use to create a clean & comfortable waiting room. Having an on-site pathology collection service is also very convenient.

I’ve been going to this practice for years and they constantly run late not as in 15 minutes it’s about an hour. I was booked in for a Telehealth and the doctor was an hour and twenty minutes late and the receptionist called 40 minutes after my appointment time after I’ve already confirmed the booking and said I shouldn’t even have an appointment booked because I hadn’t had a face to face appointment in a year. I constantly try and book face to face but they said they don’t have any due to covid which is fair, then she said that I had to pay full price which was fine because I needed to see my doctor, but then she said had no more appointments today even though I was already booked in. The receptionist are rude and even in urgent situations they won’t try and fit you in. I will be finding another practice this was the last straw.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! do not let your employer take you to IMMEX to get a workers compensation certificate of capacity. they will not work in you best interests and butcher your workers compensation claim. they will help your employer and not you. you will be much better off seeing your own personal GP.
